Most employers offer EAP which gives you access to therapists at no charge. How old is this person? If they are younger than some of the usual youth services may have some programs they could use.

I'd check out Carizon on King Street: http://www.carizon.ca/ I went there for counselling a few years ago (my work had an EAP for 6 free visits a year). They may have alternative options for payment if need be. Call 519-743-4114 and speak to someone at Waterloo Hospice. They can often assist with in house councillors or direct you to the proper resources.

You can walk into any of the Community Health Centres, you don't need insurance - this is Canada. This one is in Kitchener downtown - http://kdchc.org/ Call them and they can tell you the one closes to you.

Sheila Buck is great. I'm pretty sure she has clients both in KW and as far as Toronto, so she'd likely serve the Hamilton area. She comes to you, so no need to go out. She's with an agency called Therapy Now. I'll try to find the contact info, but a call to Motion Specialties should also be able to get you the number. The downside is that the fee can be quite steep if insurance doesn't cover you completely, about $150 per appointment Alternately, the CCAC can connect you with local OT's, and after a quick assessment to determine your needs, you can see an OT for free. I actually have one coming today from Pace Therapy. I'll let you know if he is any good!
