When I was in Osaka, I used to go 大阪市中央卸売市場本場(Osaka Municipal Wholesale Market Honjo-http://www.honjo-osaka.or.jp/) for sushi. Small osushiyasan on the right hand side near the main entrance open until 11 or noon, I think. Maybe other alumni can help you for more specific information.

I don't even remember where Bindi was, so it must not have made much of an impression. My Indian colleague favored The Taj in Akasaka Mitsuke but I didn't think price/performance was good. Since I'm a fake Indian, butter chicken from Moti's (either Roppongi or Akasaka) always does the trick.

BrewPub Starboard (Formerly the Rokko Beer Diner in Motomachi) 兵庫県神戸市中央区北長狭通２丁目７−１, #205 (Chuo-ku, Kitanagasa Doori, 2 Chome, 7-12, PMPT Building, #205). It is on the northern side of the Motomachi station tracks, about two or three streets towards San nomiya Station. For the time being, we are not doing lunch hours, but when the weather gets warmer, we will change our hours to fit the lunch crowds schedule. In the meantime, come on down from 5PM, relax and have a few pints!

Had a great time touring the island and going on a boat out to the whirlpools. I can't remember what else we did...it was back when we only had Sean. My absolute favorite is New Awaji Hotel (also recommended by Kanae). I am still looking for a train card for you. I managed to lose a few. I need to check purses.
