I love Dr. Kenneth Akey in Mission Viejo. My son adores him and actually asks to go visit his office! We follow an alternative vaccine schedule and he is completely supportive. He's very focused on proper nutrition as well, and I find him to offer a great balance between conventional and homeopathic/nutrition-based medicine. They also have a lovely mothers room for nursing...I just can't say enough good things about the Dr or their office!

Dr. Aufdemberg in Irvine. Plus, he has the best, friendliest, most helpful nurse! He never rushes appointments, listens to any/every concern, is very pro-breast feeding, let's parents lead with vaccination decisions, and is just all-around awesome! I love that he has 6 children too!

Dr. Lin has a grand jury indictment for insurance fraud and an investigation that proved he was selling amphetamines out of his front office with no prescription and no exam... He was our pediatrician, but he is no longer.

though I haven't heard them offer alternative meds yet (I only have a 5 month old) Dr. Young and Dr Lin in Mission Viejo respect my wish to not/delay vaccines though they feel it is important to ask me every well visit and to give me info about them, which I can respect.

We have been really happy with Dr. Aufdemberg and drive way out of our way to see him. Love that he accepts insurance. The Dr. Sears website has a great resource page of recommended vaccine optional docs in all of CA and other states.

We go to Dr Joan Sy, she is a GP Family Practitioner and very supportive of our decisions to vaccinate or not. We just started our 5-year-old well child exams and after discussing, have decided to vaccinate one shot at a time 1-2 months apart. She takes insurance.

We go to Dr. Pam Middleton she is located in Newport Beach (Fashion Island area) no insurance so she is completely behind what the parents decide is best for their child and will discuss all vaccine options with parents who decide on an alternate schedule.

I'm looking for a back up MD that takes insurance so I'm going to check out Dr Joan Sy in Laguna Hills...Thanks for the recommendation Michelle Brunson Tieri I think the way to go because we don't vaccinate is with a Family GP rather than a Ped.
