We visited Waikoloa Marriott in June before our MOC trip. We had a very lovely time although we only stayed for a couple of days. We are looking forward to going back there and spending more time. The luau is only on certain days (can't remember which) so you'll need to coordinate that if it's something you want to do. The hotel pool is nice with the infinity pool. They also have a pool with a slide and a smaller pool for kiddies. Didn't do the beach but it seems nice. Only one restaurant which we only had breakfast and lunch. Food was good. Dinner they had themes but we were always out and about. It's across the street from a nice shopping center. Another shopping area is also down the street. Both have restaurants. There's a shuttle to each. Hope this info helps.
