Donna Silver, hope this didn't happen on Greenbelt City property. If so, you may be out of luck. I fell last Jan. at the Co-op Grocery Store where the asphalt dipped right at the curb. There were dips where the cars were to park. I broke my wrist and sprained my wrist (trying to break my fall) on the sidewalk. Had witnesses from inside the Co-op who saw this, people coming out of the Co-op and others. The city refused to even talk to me about this. But they did maange to fo and re-pave those exact same spaces at the Co-op, but still it wasn't their fault and they had no responsiblity when this happened. I had to have surgery on my wrist and was out of work for 9 days due to a swollen ankle that I couldn't walk on. I got stuck with about $900 worth of hospital/doctors bills plus the loss of being out of work. His guy who works as the insurance guy for the City of Greenbelt was a real jerk.
