I'm in a major bind and need some help. FIRST, does anyone have a good Lansing-area moving company that they can recommend? One that you've used before? SECOND, does...

If your contract is on a Greater Lansing Board of Realtors form, you'll likely have to go through their meditation process first. As for a good real estate attorney, contact John Fifarek. I've worked with John many times over the years and referred many of my previous clients to him. jfifarek@laskyfifarek.com

Two Men and a Truck is best in Lansing. Call McClelland and Anderson, see if they have a conflict or if they can represent you. Then if they do, go with Brian Gallagher's guy at Fraser, he is good and has a ton of experience.
Lynne S. replied:
Two Men and A Truck - they are the very best.
Nancy M. replied:
Agree about Two Men and a Truck. I recommend Brent Titus at Foster Swift on the real estate matter.
Kimberly W. replied:
Two Men and a Truck! Have used them about 7 times now and they are fantastic. Get your hands on the seller's disclosure paperwork, your inspector and their report, take lots of photos. You might consider taking this to mediation before hiring a lawyer. Contact the Greater Lansing Association of Realtors and see what they can do. Good luck!
Brian G. replied:
Sorry to hear that, buddy. Come upstairs/get ahold go me tomorrow. There's a guy at Fraser who is a great real estate attorney. As far as moving companies go, I've never used one, but I've heard Two Men and a Truck is great.

Joe Manzella I've used Two Men & a Truck several times and highly recommend them. If you need help on Sunday, I can come over and pack.

Doug Austin is an excellent real estate lawyer, Joe.
Best Movers in the area? I’m a broke college student moving only about 10-15minutes away from where I’m at now. I’d be comfortable with moving everything myself,...

I mean, two men and a truck are literally headquartered in Lansing. Might as well get a quote.

Adding my recommendation for Two Men and a Truck. I have moved with them twice; once across the state, and once across the city. They are local, clean, professional, considerate, and really helpful! I don’t think they were more expensive than what I would expect that service to cost. (I think my across city move was less than 500, but I have three bedrooms and all the stuff lol. )

I moved with Two Men and a Truck a couple years ago. They were quick and professional and told me they would just charge for however long it took. I ended up moving a lot of stuff myself so I could just have them move the furniture to save money but later I realized there is a minimum however that I believe is about $200, so it would have made sense to just have them move most it for me. My advice would be to just make sure everything is boxed up and have them move whatever you think would take them about an hour/whatever the minimum is (i would ask). You can probably just have them move everything tbh as long as it's boxed up ready to go.

That’s a good price for a full move.

Rent a uhaul and then go through them to hire some guys to move the big stuff. Probably only need them for an hour. Load all the small stuff yourself. Have them arrive and load up the big stuff, drive over to the new place and have them unload the big stuff. Shouldn't be more than a couple hundred.

I used Your Friends Moving twice over a span of a few years when moving into apartments in Lansing. I had a sleeper sofa that weighed approximately one billion pounds, and both of my apartments were on the third floor. My extended family had enough bruised knuckles and strains caused by carrying that couch that we said screw it and booked movers for the couch alone. I think it was a minimum amount of time - maybe an hour? We ended up using them to carry boxes and other furniture items up too for the reminder of the time. This is going back a few years now, but I have to say that both times, the two-man crews were extremely polite and professional - waaay beyond what I expected for movers. Tipped them $20/ea both times because I was so happy with their service.
I honestly can't remember what the price was (sorry), but I remember thinking it was reasonable at the time.
www.movelansing.com is their website.

Good Guys have moved me once, and I’ve booked them again to move me in July. I would whole heartedly recommend them in a second!
