My husband had it done 12 years ago with Shepard eye center but they actually used Dr. Siems equipment. Then I got it done with Doctor Siems 9 years ago. He did mention to us that yes as you get older you would still need reading glasses but my husband is 46 and still doesn't need them and has 20/15 vision. We both have been very very happy with Lasik. Good Luck!
