I'm no mechanic but had the same problem with a van & it's been electrical to do with spark plugs and/or fuel line. Try Gary at Cobo Motors, 256862.

My Fiesta did the same. Turned out to be a vacuum pipe connected to the inlet somewhere. La Villiete garage fixed it in ten minutes
