Wr are here for ILE now. Been here since last June. We live in Shennendoah subdivision in Leavenworth. It's about a 10-12 minute drive to post. It's a VERY military friendly neighborhood. The entire city of Leavenworth and sister city of Lansing are wonderful. Very friendly and military friendly towns. Our landlord is Rick Hansen. www.hansenproperties.com awesome company to be with. I have a 17 month old, so don't know much about schools. We do go to the Kindermusik class on post. Their SKiES program is great. Lots to offer children of all ages. I hear that the private schools in town are pretty good. Absolutely NO complaints about our time here. It has been great and a beautiful place to live.

There are so many nice places to live off post! There are also lots of shady places. Most nicer off post housing is at least a 10 minute drive into base. Bragg is a large base though and depending on what side your husband works on, that makes the commute longer. It only takes me 15 minutes to get to post, but my husband works on the other end of it so it takes him 25 minutes to get to work. How far of a commute are you looking for? Near the off post base housing neighborhood, Linden Oaks, there are a few nice neighborhoods. One new one, Lexington Plantation, has tons of houses going up. Out Ramsey road is also a nice area. I have heard good things about Hope Mills and Raeford but I don't have many friends out that way. Avoid right in Spring Lake as well as some places in Fayetteville. My only child is 1 so I can't help you out with day cares. Hopefully this helped!!

Kindercare is great little pricing but they keep kids on schedule and do a lot with re kiddos. Alice Dodd was good as well.
