Regarding comment about Dr. Grinnen ordering too many tests - this has not been my experience. If a test is suggested we discuss it, all of my fears or questions are answered and then the choice is mine to have or not to have and believe me there are a few of them that she was right on target with and had I listened to her advice I could have saved myself some needless suffering. I find this page very helpful because it showcases how many different experiences you can have with one person.

Then the next issue is if you need surgery, you have to travel up to Christiana Hospital. I just don't trustthe care at Beebe. I always say if I get in an accident, get me stabilized at Beebe, then transport me up north to Christiana (or even St. Francis).

Once you narrow the list to doc's accepting new patients you may find Mid Atlantic family practice is the only choice. But they are good.

Mid Atlantic Family Practice in Lewes is amazing! They have same day appointments, Saturday appts for established patients and lots of Drs and PA/NPs! The Drs are not taking new patients right now but the PAs and NPs are. You could at least get established with them. http://www.mafp.net/
