I had a friend rent a fancy cottage type church and had a reception. I forgot where it was but the wedding cost them $7000. I thought that was crazy but I guess it all adds up with cakes, dresses, tux rentals, etc. I have a few other friends that went the other route. They rented the hall at Amvets Post 9 on Shelby Street for $350 and had both the wedding and reception there. Really nice sized place with a stage and dance floor (502)637-1900. I think "That Place" on Goss has some nice space. Not sure how much they cost. I think Swiss Hall rents their place out. Someone told me it cost around $650.

I'm not sure on cost but you could call IBEW Local 369@502.368.2568. They have a huge hall for rent, it's on Preston HWY next to Male HS.
