Keith and Brian Dedmond are the dentists there. Their phone number is 704-735-7001. The "happy" pill will pretty much put you in that kind of state. You'll just need someone to drive. You may want to go just for a "Happy" visit before going for a real visit, and just talk to them about your fear. They will listen and will understand. I used to have a fear of going, but they have worked me through it. The girls have always loved going there. For dental hygienists, ask for Kris or Robin.

I have used Adam Naylor. I usually just have teeth cleaned. Got my first cavity last year & he filled it. I hate having teeth cleaned. I get so nervous. They have head phones, massage chair and a TV on the ceiling. He has two offices. One he does cash cheaper, then he has the regular office.

The girls and I go to Dedmond Family Dentistry in Lincolnton. They are wonderful and have a state-of-the-art facility. I knew that I was at the right place the first time I went, and there was a sign on the wall, "We cater to cowards." I'm not sure if he uses nitrous gas, but he will prescribe you a "happy" pill, and he uses a probe to numb rather than a needle. I just had a root canal (my first), but he sent me to Dr. Callison in Cornelius, and he used nitrous for me!

Dr Reese in Claremont will help you with Valium and he is wonderful.

Dr Brian Dedmond uses nitrous & is awesome!! They can also give u Rx for anti - anxiety med to take prior to treatment as long as u have someone drive u to & from your appt..I have a referral card that will credit u $30 off your full New Patient appt..they're really great!!

I was as bad or worse than you Kelly. I went to Dr. Chris Reese in Claremont and he and his staff completely changed my mind about dentists. I think he is in line price wise and does file your dental insurance.

Dr Reese in Claremont is great too! I used to work for Dr Dedmond's office & did fill in for Dr Reese a while back..they're both really great!!

Don't know if he is cheap but Mark Ross in Morganton is the best. He extracted 2 wisdom teeth in the office because I didn't want to be put to sleep. No pain during or after.
