I've been recommended the tailor Dale Thurman for bridesmaid dress altering and I bet a suit would be up his alley too--> http://www.buzzfile.com/business/Thurman-Tailoring-859-281-6344/ Right by Goodfella's downtown. He was recommended based on a co-worker's experience and several others' trusted good reviews (I have yet to make it there). I was told he's a bit eccentric but does great work. Don't know about timelines. I've also been to the Button Hole and would bet they could make your timeline but I don't have experience with them and really nice clothing.

KC Tailoring in Lansdowne on Tates Creek Rd does excellent work. His shop if right next to Drakes upstairs in the back next to the ballet studio. Have gone to him for years.
