Hi Debs. Quick call to Alzheimer’s society. Their number is 0300 222 1122. They have an office on Burton Rd, Sheffield. A Dementia support worker can assist you to possibly speed things up. They are on 0114 2768414. Basically if you feel that your mum is at risk, adult social care has a duty of care and will need to speed things up. If not at risk, then they will give you advice and support whilst waiting for he package to commence. Hope it’s some help.
