Sheryl S. replied:
Thank you for the great suggestions everyone! We ended up going to Twin City Comics. They had kids stuff, though I don't know if the selection was good or not, since i have nothing to compare to. But I am sure I will be checking out the other places that were suggested soon! http://www.facebook.com/twincitycomics
Sheryl S. replied:
Is this the place, Robert Jacoby? New Hope location? Do they sell Super Hero Squad stuff? Comics for 5 year olds, not too violent... http://www.hotcomicsandcollectibles.com
Robert J. replied:
Sheryl Senkiw they have a kids section with Disney etc. its to the right front corner. The staff are super kind and Emily and Hannah are great with kids. I just asked Mike and said the super squad isn't published but he has ordered the trades. He said there are lots of other similar stuff
Robert J. replied:
Will Lumpkins Dan loves steam punk. I would love to get a section going. Furries....you are gonna have to model. Duane won't let me get a squirrel costume and terrorize the Warren? Help me Will Lumpkins! We want to be better!

I have to put my vote in for The Source as well, but to be fair I haven't been to Hot Comics.
Sheryl S. replied:
Robert Jacoby, we went to Hot Comics a few days ago, and did not have a good experience. No one helped us, and my 5 year old was not able to find a comic book he liked. When we left, the employee there chased after us, and accused my son's friend of shop lifting...though after checking, he realized nothing had been stolen. He didn't even apologize for the false accusation.

My favorite: Big Brain Comics. The owner always has really good indie and mainstream recommendations, for my 9 year old daughter! http://bigbraincomics.com/?page_id=2
