If you don't mind the drive... I cannot recommend Sylvan Vet Hospital in Modesto highly enough. They diagnosed our Keegan's kidney failure and told us he had about 2 weeks to live. We asked if there was anything we could do to change that and they were amazing!! We developed a treatment plan and between Sylvan and Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Modesto, we had another 18 months with our boy!! Yes sylvan is good but my gosh sooo expensive. I now drive to monte vista from Modesto. I also love Standiford vet on Standiford in Modesto. They cared for a lot of my animals.Its a long story as to why I started going to monte vista. If Standiford vet had been open on Sundays I probably would have gone there.

Dr Klingborg at Valley Animal, he's very good and very honest about your dog, not dollar driven and Dr Byerly is also good I've heard from a lot of people.

I have heard about American Pet Clinic before....hmmm, this will be hard since there is several great options now....

Susie Nieto Dr. Basra has been the best vet ive worked with, he truely cares about the animal, he helps those who cant always afford the fees upfront, and he knows what he is doing and what he talks about. He doesnt try to get unnecessary tests done that are expensive and your animal doesnt really need, and focuses on what tests can help solve the problem and figure out the best treatment plan.

Monte Vista Small Animal Hospital OPENS at 9 am and there is NO ER fee on Sunday or any day. I see Dr Lee she is wonderful. If you go to Taylor during certain hours they will charge an ER fee.

Monte Vista is open 7 days a week so you won't have an ER price to pay.

I understand after hours Monte Vista charges fee too. After 10 PM Taylor is the only place I would go. Have had bad experiences at Prescott and they are very expensive.

Taylor Vet regular office visit charge is $38.00 until 5 PM then $98.00. 7 days a week. M -F they have regular appointments. Saturday and Sunday are only for emergencies. And the same charges apply $38.00 until 5PM then $98.00 after.

If you call ahead to Monte Vista, and explain the situation (re $$), they can usually give you a personalized quote. If Dr Santos is in today, he's great. No ER fees during regular hours. Good luck!

Monte vista is my personal favorite. They are open at 9 and my favorite vet (Dr. Santos) is on today.

American Pet Clinic in Ceres has nothing to do with American Pet Hospital on Coffee the one on Coffee killed my friends cat.

I told Dr B he should change the name of his clinic in Ceres because so many people mistake it for the bad vet on Coffee.

I wouldn't go to the emergency vet on Prescott either, more than 1 bad experience. However Taylor Vet in Turlock has emergency hours and they are very good, staff and vets.

I wouldn't go to the ER Vet on Prescott because as soon as the heat that you're tight on money (if you are) the vet stops trying to help.

Monte vista uses care credit... So the credit is not monte vistas issue.. But Care Credits.. Which is what all the vets use...

My vet recommends Taylor Vet in Turlock.

Monte Vista is great if you want to hear a price of $88 and then they bill you for $497..great service!

Veterinary Care is not inexpensive.

Ceres Veterinary Clinic accepts Care Credit, and has a vaccine clinic on the first and third Saturday of each month. They have one this Saturday!

I am so sorry my daarlin Britt.. the Prescott Emergency Vet is a small fortune that takes cash check or charge only. It is a minimum of $300 - $500 for poss. parvo visit and parvo check ( not sure if check is blood or occult fecal test) that DOES NOT include any treatment such as oral or inj meds or IV or SubC fluids. (I just spoke to the ERVT from PEVC on the phone. )
