Love Dr. Aldred. I went to Ashland twice and was treated like just a number and they only looking at $$ signs. They are really expensive too.

Ashland Family Dentistry. Just took my 2 1/2 year old and they were amazing!!!!! They keep the same dental assistant every time so they get used to who works on them.

The hygenists and dentist at Dr. Rowe's right in town are very kid-friendly but no balloon animals or TVs (which I just think jacks up the price.) I believe the only difference between pediatric and "regular" dentists is they will not sedate children. I was not happy with Atkins and Maestrello b/c they told me my 3 yo had 10 cavities, which 2 other dentists couldn't prove or wouldn't fill. If you want bells and whistles, try them.

Thanks for your feed back. Looks like we're going to Dr. Rowe. Our insurance has very limited dentists and he's a participant. So we shall visit him tomorrow!

Sometimes it's worth a little drive. We didn't find Dr Rowe's worked well for our children. We found Dr Scott Freeman's office and love it. He is off Cox & Three Chopt just past Ross & Marshall's . Good luck in your search. The kids have to like their dentist because it sets the pace for the rest of their lives in the dentist chair.

Max Haley in Ashland. My kids are now grown but when they were little they used to argue who would get to go back first. I was terrified of my dentist when I was growing up. We love Max.

One goes to Dr. Rowe in Montpelier. The other to Dr. Kendig in Richmond near Henrico Doctors. Dr. Kendig is fantastic and good with dentist-averse kids. Sweetest man.
