I agree with Jane, try Dr Sherwood. He realky will listen and help to refer you to best he knows. He worked with me for a full year to figure out what was wrong with me. And it turned out i have a somewhat rare brain condition. He has stuck with me through it all never made me feel like I was making it up like others had. He persistence saved my life, he will do his best or find someone who will know how to help.

We didn't like the only neurologist in this town and he wouldn't give us a referral to st. Mary's, we heard a lot of amazing things about our current doctor so we went to my fiances family doctor and he gave us the referral on the first visit right away. Dr. Collier at st. Mary's is an epileptologist and she has been doing freaking amazing with my hunny, he still has seizures, but we are working towards fixing them, she is so knowledgeable and understanding, I learned more in 20 minutes with her than a year with our old neurologist.

Go see Dr. Sherwood in Ridgway. He should be able to see you and then make a referral. He is pretty good at listening to what you want. He doesn't take insurance, but his fees and not that high.

I use Appleton Clinics in Grand Junction. Appletonclinics.com. I pay $79 out of pocket a month and can see them every day if I want at no extra charge. Free bloodwork up once a year, they have their own pharmacy and sell at cost and so much more. They refer me to where ever I need to go for whatever they don't handle. I would call and ask for Rachel and explain the situation and see what she says. My husband and I absolutely love them.

I missed the part about anti-depressants. Call The Center for Mental Health crisis line. 252-6220 You DO NOT want urgent care making decisions about antidepressants.

Don't be afraid to be adamant that you need help NOW. It takes time for the meds to start working, so they may need to give you something more quick release if you're in crisis. I have way too much experience with The Center and with depression and anxiety, so PM me if you need to talk!!
