I have worked in childcare for over 20 years and went to college for it and the state requires us all to have strict rules and regulations. The only difference is they will hire teachers who have studied working with children and they will pay more whi ch means they will charge more. We all have to have a planned curriculum if the center is licensed. Like one person said it's for the upper class. Their Centers and others like it are usually in higher class neighborhoods. If you look on tn.gov under find childcare those centers with 3 STAR are just as good as this will be just saying from experience.

Also under the tn.gov childcare list you can now see the compliance history of your child's daycare to see if they have any violations.

Craig Turner I am not saying that it will not be a good place so please don't think that I am running it down. I am just saying that a good place to start Is tn.gov if you want to see what a center has scored and their compliance history. Also like I s aid all centers who are licensed must have a curriculum but it will be up to how the center is run whether or not it gets implemented. I just want people to know that you can get excellence in other places as well and you can check it out on the tn.gov website. You are absolutely right about finding a place that fits your families needs and where you feel comfortable. I always tell parents to listen to their gut. Come at different times. Ask questions and be involved. Just want to get it out there that not all great centers have to be a chain in order to be Great!! I just left a big daycare that has a "top notch curriculum" not in MJ but very close by and there were teachers who were vaping in the rooms, rough teachers, and women flirting with married men and very inconsistent staff and management. I left for those reasons and the fact that I chose to put my child before all their demands. Just want to put it out there for people who are looking for childcare.

I made the drive to The Gardner School in Nashville because this is the type of environment that I wanted for my kids. I vetted out a lot of daycares, and it was worth the cost to go outside of Mt Juliet. I'm excited for Primrose. I wish this was an option when I needed it closer to home.

Primrose Schools are the best in childcare! Each classroom follows a balanced learning curriculum, even the infant classrooms. I had the best experience at the school in Cool Springs and I am happy to see that they are bringing a school to our community!

Or you can swing by and visit the classes, teachers and other students and bring your daughter and she can check it out and see if she thinks it would be a fun school to go to. We are open 7:00 am until 6:00 pm. We have 5 day, 4 day and 3 day rates.

My 3 year old daughter goes to preschool at Mt. Juliet Church of Christ. It's across from bar-b-cutie. She is in the Monday/Wednesday class. It goes from 9-1:15. She loves it. Her teacher, Mrs. Brandy is great! I highly recommend them.

I second the recommendation for St. Stephen. They have a class Mon and Wed 8:30 to 1:30 for kids up to potty trained. Tues and Thurs 9 - 1 is the older kids. My son has been in both. We've been very pleased with the program and the teachers.
