Christie Schoppe at villa medical clinic in Newberg behind auto zone. She is amazing.
Nicole K. replied:
Dr. Silvestre at Newberg Providence 503.537.5900
Lauren F. replied:
Christie schoppe isn't a doctor she is a physicians assistant and she is the one who misdiagnosed me for FIVE years. She kept saying I was having bladder or kidney infections. And kept pushing antibiotics at me. She NEVER ordered any tests until I DEMANDED THEM...only an x Ray, that they found inconclusive. I was in high school and she was an adult. It got to the point where she even told my parents I was a hypochondriac and I was faking it. When I finally told her off and demanded she refer me to somebody else - she refered me to doctor skeeter who is a specialist/ urologist. Dr. Sketter looked at that x Ray from year 1 of me being sick and immediately knew what was wrong. I had a GOLF BALL SIZED kidney stone that was infected/sceptic. I was in extreme pain, fevers, body aches, blood in my urine...etc. I was going to the doctor multiple times a month. I became allergic/ resistant to multiple types of antibiotics from being over prescribed. And it messed up my digestion.... Christie schoppe is a quack and a joke and she is NOT a doctor.

I think if someone has a problem that isn't being taken serious they need to move on to another doctor and get another opinion. Years ago my wife had problems with her right arm becoming numb and cold. Went to the doctor repeatedly and he sent her to another doctor and I think several other doctors and nothing ever was done. My wife commented to someone about the problems and they told her to see Dr. Sy in Corvallis, Oregon. My wife called to make an appointment. The doctor called and asked questions. He pretty much had an idea what was going on but wanted to do tests to verify. She had a pinched nerve by her collar bone. Because my wife went so long with the pinched nerve Dr. Sy said there would likely be permenant damage and getting 100% relief would be unlikely. They did the surgery and after a while my wife did a lot better and nerve regain almost 100%.

Kristy Shoppe at villa medical clinic!
Candice G. replied:
Dr Spencley is good. I like dr Bautista too. I also recommend dr Carraballo. All 3 are in newberg. The first is a male and the others are female at providence. The male is at Villa Medical Center though.
You all have been so helpful to a total stranger, may I ask another favor?
We are in need of a WONDERFUL family doctor / internal medicine.
My health history is long...
Brandy B. replied:
For the kids we use Dr. Kao at Sherwood Providence.
Jodyand M. replied:
For kids Dr Greene in Sherwood and Dr martin in Sherwood for u
Kathleen H. replied:
I see Dr.Caraballo. I have been looking for a good provided and found one with her! She is in Providence Newberg medical center. The great thing about being in a larger clinic is if your doc is out there are other docs there that you can see and all of your chart/health history is right there in the computer you You will not have to go to an Immediate Care or wait till your doc is back. Good luck my friend:)
Austen W. replied:
Dr. Manka and culver are nice. Great staff as well
Joni D. replied:
Dr Rahkola Providence newberg
Xan S. replied:
If you want same day appts...avoid Providence Medical Clinics...Dr Rahkola is my step-Dad's dr and he tried to make an appt for a shoulder problem...booked out until August and he had seen her and was told to followup in 3 weeks!. He was told to call every day to see if they have had cancellations. That is not good service. Stick to solo practice physicians not employed by a large group. They are much easier to get in with and staff will actually get to know you.
Jeni G. replied:
I was able to get in within a week with Internal Medicine Dr' at Provident Dr. Strantdler (spelling) at Providence Newberg, with my recent Fibromyalgia diagnosis he's had vast experience with it, as a new patient he was right on time.. I really liked him, didn't feel rushed and he asked me some great questions and allowed me time to think of questions and ask of him.
Brandy D. replied:
Absolutely Dr.Kao for the kids! My daughter has a complicated heart condition handles it amazing! Dr. Kao did PICU at a very well known hospital which of course I am drawing a blank on, but you would be able to research that part. For my husband and I we go to Sherwood Family Medicine. And just in case you need one Dr. Collins is an amazing Chiropractor here in town.:)
Ava M. replied:
Our family sees Dr. Blome at Providence Family Newberg. He often runs late, but it's because he sits down and really listens to his patients, taking the time to really understand what's going on. He's quick to give referrals when needed, and he has personally called me back three times when I've had a question and is happy to advise over the phone. And I swear, he remembers EVERYTHING we tell him. Even my almost 4 year old loves him. He's quite knowledgable, and even knew about sero-negative rheumatoid arthritis (which I have, and not all doctors understand it's possible to have the disease without it showing up in your blood) and didn't brush me off after my blood work was clear.
So our family just got approved for ohp... Can anyone recommend a good family doctor or pediatrician here in newberg?
Dorshimer J. replied:
Dr Whittaker is awesome! He is a pediatrician.

We drive up to Sherwood and go to the Providence Clinic. We love Dr. Tevatia. We switched from Dr. Whittaker's office. She was a better fit for our family. And they've always worked with our insurance and we have OHP as our secondary insurance.

Dr Brigman for sure!
Gayj N. replied:
Shelia Smith, family Nurse Practitioner, of Peoples Community Clinic is awesome! She is in the yellow building across from the Newberg pool and has evening and weekend hours until 8 pm. She's so down to earth and a really great provider. She takes OHP too
Hey due to changing insurance, we need to choose a new family doctor. We were thinking about a Dr. Ellen Priscilla Bautista over in the Providence Medical Group. Does...
Lori A. replied:
My husband had to see Dr Bautista when our regular Dr was not available. I don’t recommend her. My husband was very, very sick with pancreatitis and gave us paperwork for colonoscopy and psa. I was pissed.
Jessica L. replied:
Try Dr Swindle at Providence, we liked him a lot.
Angela V. replied:
I don’t know any family practice docs but if your kids need pediatric docs I highly recommend the Children’s Clinic in Newberg. The two docs there are amazing! Dr. Luck and Dr. Smart. I worked with them both in Tualatin and sometimes I fill in at the new Newberg location. If my own kids were not already established with a Doc in Tualatin, I would switch to Newberg.
Victoria H. replied:
she's our doctor and she is extremely qualified ....there are some things that she discovered about my husband that even his cardio doctor did not see. We have been with Dr. Ellen for abuot 6 yrs.
Andrea M. replied:
I don't really care for Dr Bautista. I am trying to switch to someone that fits with my personality better.
