Dr Puskur is amazing. We moved from Ocala but still keep him as our son's doc. He's cash/check only, but he's good. His background is in pharmacy plus psychiatry. As for counseling, we used to see Clarice Ruttenber (sp?) and I have her info if you need it. My son is ASD and they've both been amazing for him

Nicki Lynne dietary changes is a great idea! I would definitely cut out all caffeine & sugar for her/him if they're drinking any. I have friends who think their kids have ADHD because they're bouncing off the walls while drinking Mountain Dew all all day. Not saying that's the case with you.

Amanda, you're stuck on the candy and soda bit. No child should have soda, period. However, I know many parents that gave it to their child before school instead of medication because of the stigma they felt was attached to meds. That's it. My son is on meds for mult things, and he's in great hands with Dr Puskur:)

Go to myuhc.com and log into the system. They will have a list of your benefits along with providers. I have UHC too and my insurance doesn’t require a referral for any physician or specialty.

Psychologytoday.com will also give you a list of Therapist in your area and you can look and see what insurances they accept as well.

I recommend going up to Shands. I’ve been going there for almost two years and I love it . I would never see anyone here, especially at The Centers.

Annie Marie Delgado - you can message me if you'd like..ive been down this road. Its hard to find any that take insurance - The Centers is the only place I have been able to find for psychiatrists/psychologist and the like.
