There are some. In my neighborhood, New Edinburgh, there is a popular one called Medical solutions (I believe) it's right at the corner of Vanier Parkway and Beechwood

Howard Silverman is fantastic. He did my reconstruction after my double mastectomy. I have also had friends that have gone to him for various procedures and they all look fabulous. Also their feedback is great right from his office staff to follow up and bedside manner

Depends what you are looking for because different doctors specialize in different areas. If it's for eyes, I highly highly recommend Dr. Jordan as he is an optimologists as well. I've asked him about rhinoplasty but he refered me to Dr. Brownrigg because that's their specialty.

My husband Dr Peter Brownrigg is a Facial Cosmetic Surgeon with 25 years of experience, who is a Professor at the Ottawa Hospital as well. If your needs are in the Facial area, then you would be in good hands to see this Board Certified Specialist.

Lori - I saw a sign at Manotick Medical last week that they were accepting new patients (above Shoppers in Manotick). Great team of docs. If you can’t get through by phone, pop in. They are really nice.:) Also try South Ottawa Medical Centre on Queensdale. They may still be accepting new patients too?

I don't really have a horror story but... a sister of a friend of mine actually ended up getting hers done by OHIP because her natural bust was causing her so much back problems and had to get them reduced to save her spine. She grew like three inches right after. So basically if it's not just for cosmetic reasons, maybe your doc can recommend someone.
