:( their loss. Actually The Ark in Ann Arbor is an awesome music venue if you are into that kind of thing.

Have fun there! My sister lives there and she mentioned Sava downtown or Gratzi Italian ir Original Cottage Inn for pizza. She said to checkout www.visirannarbor.org.

Joe Mrkvicka hit the nail on the head! BXL is my hubby's favorite hangout (and is a block from my theater, so maybe I could meet you there!). I love Tabata Ramen, Address: 540 9 th Ave (and 40 th), New York, NY 10018 Phone:(212) 290-7691. Right across the street is Cupcake Cafe, 545 9 th Ave. Haven't been yet, but 42. Eataly is hugely popular (Flatiron, 200 5 th Ave, (646) 398-5100). John's Pizzeria (260 W 44 th St between 7 th and 8 th Ave) is popular - good pizza, and the location is a former church, so the atmosphere is interesting. Junior's at 1515 Broadway b/t 44 th St & 7 th Ave in Midtown West, Theater District - famous for corned beef sandwiches and their cheesecake (an old Brooklyn restaurant that now has several locations in Manhattan). Oh, and go to get dessert at Momofuku Milk Bar (David Chang's the chef) 15 W 56 th St | Btwn 5 th & 6 th Ave. Awesome cookies! There's a Shake Shack at 44 th and 8 th Ave (great burgers and shakes), but I think Chicago is getting one of these (maybe you should hit it if you aren't in Chicago much!).

Not in Manhatten, but Peter Lugar is a great Steakhouse

Peter Lugar's is an institution. When I used to eat meat I always went there. Still a favorite of my family

Rob, it occurred to me that there is a Shake Shack AND a Juniors at Grand Central as well, so you could hit one of those there. The Oyster Bar has been closed for renovations - it says it is opening again "soon", but no specific date. You really should go see Grand Central while you are here. It's so beautiful. I love commuting into GCT daily. If you take a walk east on 42 nd, you'll pass beautiful Bryant Park (one of my favorites), the library on 5 th Ave, and then you'll come upon GCT.
