Michelle H. replied:

Brenda G. replied:
Dentist - Dr. Schoppeflin. He and his staff are great. I'm not sure if he does nitrous but my daughter has a very hard time getting and staying numb (her body burns through Novicaine) and we both love him and his staff. He is on mile hill, midpoint between McDonalds and California Ave. On the right if heading toward California.
Colleen T. replied:
Dr Toni Terry at Harrison Healthy Partners across from Hospital in Bremerton. She is my Endocrinologist and is the most caring wonderful Dr.
Michele M. replied:
Love my Endocrinologist Dr. Toni Terry! She's with Harrison Health partners and seriously the best in the West!
Jesika M. replied:
That's like a billion votes for Dr. Terry. I guess she's The One.
Amy J. replied:
Dr. Stehouwer is a great gp. Sound Health Care Center
Larysa J. replied:
Dr Robison at Woodridge Dental..he is super nice! As for GP there is a new lady at Franciscan as well...Dr. Fiala. she is very nice as well. I have seen Margaret before and I prefer Dr. Fiala. IMO I havent seen my endo doc yet but I am going to see Dr. Oropeza at MultiCare in GH. Good Luck

Becca B. replied:
Dr. Terry is amazing. I used to work with her and she is my endocrinologist. Also, Dr. Hope Torregosa in the same office is wonderful! You would be in great hands with either of them

Danielle B. replied:
I love Dr. Erin Dawson!
Erika S. replied:
Not sure if she does nitrous, but we use Dr Karbassi for our dentist. Both her and her staff are great. Some of the previous dentists I've used have been kind of rough, but I've never had that problem with her.
Carolyn K. replied:
Dr. Toni Terri, Endocrinologist. Harrison Health Partners, Bremerton.
Juliane N. replied:
Dr. Stehouwer at Sound Health Care in Port Orchard is a really wondeful female physician. She is a great listener andvreally carves out time for her patients and doesca thorough chart review before each patients office visit. She has a fantastic medical assistant as well. I would highly recommend her!
Natalie B. replied:
Dr Haws for your dentist. I'm EXACTLY like you.
Haylee H. replied:
I don't know how far you're willing to travel for a dentist, but Dr. Peter Ruff in Bremerton is great! I myself have a huge dentist phobia and he does nitrous...he's actually made me more comfortable to where I don't need the nitrous and just need to be numbed Endocrinologist I'm not sure about...Erin Dawson is a GP in Port Orchard (@The Doctors Clinic) and she is WONDERFUL!
Tracy P. replied:
For a GP I like Margaret Sandler at the PO Franciscan Med Center. She is an ARNP but she listens to the patient and explains stuff in non-medical terms.
Haylee H. replied:
Ooooooh. Margaret Sandler is a GREAT choice as well! She is an ARNP...but I've heard nothing but wonderful things about her!
Alison T. replied:
I second Dr. Robison and use Dr. Rica Paull for family practice! She's pretty awesome but does book out so pretty much impossible for a same day appointment. That would be my only complaint.
Sharon M. replied:
Our fav's are Dr Toni Terry for endo & Dr Chris Mueller, dentist....downtown Port Orchard, across the street from Key Bank...the entire staff is great!
Layne B. replied:
I agree with everyone who said Dr. Toni Terry!!! I was sent to someone who will not be named in Seattle for the first time after we transferred here in 2011 and I disliked him a lot. My PCM sent me to Dr. Terry earlier this year and she is AMAZING and has helped me out a lot!!!
Lynn C. replied:
I love Dr. Terry. However I have Blue Cross and they and Harrison Health Partners failed to come to an agreement on their contract. Because of this my insurance will no longer cover me to see her. Time to change insurance!!
I know this might be a long shot but can anyone recommend a somewhat close by endocrinologist or naturopathic doctor that specializes in thyroid and autoimmune diseases?...
Lori B. replied:
I have Graves' Disease and have Group Health. I can't recommend the doctors there with regard to autoimmune diseases. Best wishes, I hope you can find one who listens to you.

Lynn C. replied:
I'm in the same situation. I called a Blue Cross yesterday. Dr. Birnbaum is the only other endocrinologist in Bremerton. He's at the Doctors Clinic but you have to be referred to him by your current Dr. Do you have Dr. Terry like I do? There's also one in Gig Harbor....Dr. Ron Gras253-530-8000. Good luck!
Michelle K. replied:
Thanks, Lynn! I do have Dr.Terry. I just had labs today so I'll ask her if she can refer me to one of them when she calls with the results. I'll look them both up and see if I have a preference. It sucks that she's about to lose a good number of patients over this because Harrison and Regence couldn't figure it out. It also sucks that we have very limited options when it comes to who we can see. I've come to learn that not a lot of doctors are well versed in Graves' disease, in my case.
Robert B. replied:
Talk to Louise Kohl3605097311 she is a distributor of an amazing product comes highly recommended.
Lynn C. replied:
I hear you! I had Hashimoto which my primary Dr never diagnosed. A new endocrinologist (Dr. Hoovler) came to the Dr. Clinic and I loved him. He "listened" to me, felt my neck, found nodules, did testing and lo and behold.....found I had thyroid cancer. So I had my thyroid removed and I need a Dr. who understands what I need and how to monitor me. It's terribly frustrating to find a good Dr and then when you do....this sort of BS happens. Dr. Hoovler quit by the way and I was devastated. I felt very fortunate to find Dr. Terry. I also saw Dr. Ken Gross at the PolyClinic in Seattle. Very good Dr....but too far to travel.
Lynn C. replied:
My sister had Graves' disease and she sees Dr. Birnbaum
Lynn C. replied:
Donna....that's Dr. Terry who our insurance will no longer cover
Julie B. replied:
Dr Birnbaum is very good, the E. Bremerton Dr Clinic will be moving to Silverdale in October.

I second Dr. Birnbaum! He's amazing!
Lynn C. replied:
I just changed to Regence after being with KPS for years. Guess I'm changing back at open enrollment time. Regence said it was Harrison Health Partners fault of course.
Looking for a female OBGYN and a female Endocrinologist preferably in Port Orchard but willing to travel. Hopefully having experience with PCOS and who are taking new...
Stephanie S. replied:
Dr Quimby out in silverdale is wonderful
Carlene B. replied:
Depending on how far your willing to travel Dr Schwab in burien is AMAZING.
Jamie B. replied:
If you really want answers like I did, skip the regular OBGYN adds go to a specialist. The Gyft Clinic in Tacoma is amazing. Dr. Murrain is a wonderful Dr. and all the staff know how to deal with all kinds of hormonal imbalance and infertility. I went there 5 years ago and not only get a diagnosis but I have since had two more children. Edit to add I have PCOS with insulin resistance.
Tanya P. replied:
Lillian Lockett Robertson
MaryJo Y. replied:
Dr. Quimby is one of the best doctors in the area. Plus she's easy to talk, listens and won't hurry through the appointment and she's got a great sense of humor.
Heidi W. replied:
I see Margaret Sandler at Fransiscan here in Port Orchard. I got really sick a couple years ago and she was amazing! She worked very hard to figure out what was going on. She's the one that discovered I have Graves disease. I've put on a lot of weight and she has never made me feel bad about it. She wants to help when I bring it up but she has always made me feel important and valid and has really listened. Love her! She is sending me to a new endocrinologist early next month out in Bremerton.
Rachel G. replied:
Dr Zapata is amazing with pcos and listens to his patients but is male! I love him so much! I have seen three drs including him to get pregnant with my first son and it took me 8 years with the first two and only 4 months with his help. I am now pregnant with my second all on my own because of Zapata! He is in Silverdale and is the lead dr for the clinic and birthing center.
Kara R. replied:
I love Dr. Zapata too, but yes he is male. I have heard wonderful things about all the female Dr's at his practice though, so you can't go wrong.
Arnette H. replied:
