Nancy Spencer is amazing! It's been 18 years since I have seen her so I really don't know if she still does this but it's well worth it to find out. She is based out of Lake Tapps but she used to have a office in Gig Harbor. You won't be disappointed.

Kay Jackson is wonderful but if I'm not mistaken, she works with moms who choose to birth in the hospital (hospital midwife rather than homebirth midwife)

Go see Niki Coraggio with Gig Harbor Midwifery! She takes Apple Health plans and I worked with her personally for over a year! She's amazing!

Joella is fabulous, but I don't believe she is contracted with Apple Health plans, or any insurance company, for that matter. Laura Kuhs and Niki Coraggio are the midwives closest to you who do accept Apple Health. Peninsula Birth Network is a good resource, as Katt said.

Niki Coraggio, Katrina Neff, and Becca Zollinger are licensed midwives who all practice in Gig Harbor and will catch babies in Port Orchard or The Birthing Inn. Bonnie Martin and Donna Payne-Stewart are CNMs who practice in Gig Harbor and catch babies at St. Joe's in Tacoma. Laura Kuhs and Joella Pettigrew are both licensed midwives who practice in Port Orchard. The Salmonberry midwives catch babies at their birth center in Poulsbo, if you want a birth center without crossing the bridge. You have some options.
