Hi Janet, I highly recommend Louie (256-1687). Very affordable compared to other plumbers (avoid Lance the plumber unless you want to hand over your entire paycheck!). Really decent, kind guy. He will take a look first for free instead of charging you an arm-and-a-leg just for the house-visit. He prefers you pay him cash.

I recently used Michael's Plumbing - Mike works out of Poughkeepsie. My basement toilet was a major problem and he resolved it pretty well. He's not the cheapest but prices are reasonable. He also gave me options for the work with a range of prices. He also called back a couple of times to make sure everything was OK. He's the highest rated local plumberon Angies List 845 559-7697
