Any body have some recommendations for a Physical Therapist in the Wake Forest area, that accepts BCBS BLUE VALUE.
Ashley F. replied:
https://m.facebook.com/orthoPTassociates They are awesome!! They have also won Best of the Best a couple years in a row now
Katie C. replied:
I know they accept BCBS but not sure about the "Value". Athletic Performance Center (near triangle town center, behind BJs) is amazing - they crack the whip but they're hands on (unlike some that just talk you through a group of exercises), offer a lot of different treatment modalities and really know their stuff. They treat the Carolina Hurricanes and NC state athletes.
Danielle M. replied:
I don't think Wake Forest Physical Therapy accepts Blue Value. They were our first choice but did not accept blue value a month or so ago. We ended up going to Orthopedic Specialist of NC at Rex Wakefield. They have a therapy office beside their office on the 3 rd floor of the building behind Rex Wellness.
Chris W. replied:
Danielle Lancaster Massey is correct. BCBS Blue Value is an insurance for which you have to be invited to be part of the network. Unfortunately she will have to be seen in a Physician owned practice or hospital based practices. The network unfortunately is not allowing private practice physical therapy offices to be in the network. Sorry. It is not up to us at Wake Forest Physical Therapy.

Nancy I found Dr Bonnie Mangino with North Wake Counseling Partners919-569-2138 and Triangle Ortho, they are on Common Oaks Dr, Raleigh, 27614. 919-220-5255, I don't know anything about either places, I'm just happy to find a place that's not miles from where I live.
Shannon C. replied:
Call Triangle Orthopedics, they have a PT in the Patrice, excepts bcbs

Jeanne F. replied:
I have Blue Value, and I see to Dr. Mona Soliman at Rex Family in Wakefield as my primary. She refered me to Dr. Jaime Pedraza and Dr. Derek Watson of Orthopaedic Specialists of North Carolina in the same building. They recommended PT for my IT band and back, and their PT department (in the same building) was fabulous! All of them accepted Blue Value, and I can't say enough about my PT Jennifer Kurtz. She was the absolute best of any PT I've ever worked with, and I miss seeing her because she was so much fun. She never made me feel like PT was a chore.
Teresa H. replied:
I appreciate all the endorsements of PT here at Allied Rehab (PT, OT, ST). None of the private out-patient PT practices in our area are in network with "BCBS Blue Value". When this particular product was introduced under the ACA, the only providers allowed to participate were the large multi-disciplinary doctor groups and the hospitals. So, Triangle Ortho or OSNC (physician owned PT's) are the only groups that can participate with Blue Value. Hope this helps. Teresa Faison Hale

Low back pain from weightlifting - physical therapy recommendation? I’ve been dealing with low back pain from squats/deadlifts for a while now. I’m pretty sure...
lukeautry replied:
Check out Max with [Manual Medicine](https://www.manualmedicinept.com/). I've had my fair share of chronic lower back issues from lifting and table tennis, but I'm currently pain free and have been for 6\+ months. Max was super knowledgeable and was very familiar with sports related pain so it sounds like he'd be a good fit for you.

Pivot Physical Therapy is quite good. I happen to go to the one on Wake Forest.

Carolina Pain and Performance near SouthPoint I’m In Durham is geared towards sports medicine and has a hybrid approach of PT and Chiro. They’ve helped me recoup from several injuries and got me through a half marathon and years of lifting. Highly recommend Dr Pirigyi.

You're not deadlifting or squatting right or doing too much weight for your capability. Check out Starting Strength vids on YouTube for DL and Squats. I had major LB issues as well and then I found this method of lifting. Changed everything. Good luck!

The pain is there for a reason, you are over doing it and being warned.

I was having shoulder and neck issues due to weightlifting and sleeping wrong. I went and saw a chiropractor instead of a physical therapist. Thus guy was very good. I was back to myself in a little time. You should check him out. Dr. John Smith with chiropractic partners on Capital Boulevard.
Does anyone know of a physical therapist that serves the Cary area that has experience with the LSVT BIG approach to Parkinson's?
Katie O. replied:
I believe there are several at Rex outpatient. Parknc.com lists a bunch of therapists who have training in treating PD. Not sure if they are all BIG trained or just more knowledgeable about PD.
Jennifer N. replied:
There are at UNC. but, I know that's not Cary. Diane Meyer is fabulous at UNC.
Lettitia F. replied:
Go to lsvtglobal.com and search for a clinician. You can enter a zip code and it will list the closest LSVT Big clinicians.

Physiotherapist Recommendations in Southeast Calgary? Does anybody have a recommendation for a physiotherapist in the Southeast or Downtown?
Thank you!
Anonymous replied:
Tower Physio downtown is very good. Not quite downtown, but so is the sports med department at the U of C, they do physio there as well.
milesdizzy replied:
[Lifemark](http://www.lifemark.ca) across the street from the U of C is absolutely fantastic. They literally got me back on my own two feet and back to normal after a horrific car accident. They're unreal. EDIT: Not in the SE, but it's fantastic, I'm sure their other locations are similar.
foome99 replied:
I've tried a bunch of places for physio over the last two years for the same problem. I really didn't like going to Physio and paying $70 for someone to spend 5 minutes with me and leave a heating pad on. The only place I've had success with is Panther Sports Med (Trico) at Anderson and Bonaventure with Darcy - he has tried a bunch of techniques and I am finally making some progress with my problem.
Can anyone recommend a good adult scoliosis doctor in the Cleveland Ohio area? I'm tired of being in pain, I've had a lifetime of physical therapy which has never helped...
