Oh Oh, me me me! I just had my wisdom teeth extracted last Wed by Dr. Larry Stewart in Plano. I was absolutely terrified, but can honestly say that I had a spectacular experience. I had absolutely no swelling, no bruising, didn't have any need to have the pain prescription filled (just took ibuprofen), and was back to normal in a couple of days
Drew K. replied:
They accept Care Credit (I was surprised, I talked to a couple of others who did not), they were happy to use my panoramic x-rays from my dentist from the week before (so I didn't have to pay to have those done again), and they office staff is amazing http://www.texasoralsurgerygroup.com/

Hi Ann. My 13 year old had the exact same challenge. We had to go with orthodontia....but we found an excellent doctor who is in Plano, but only 15 minutes from the neighborhood. https://www.facebook.com/83260231661Geller Orthodontics is great and we pay monthly so it is much more manageable financially. He works with our awesome dentist, Dr. Denny, who is here in Richardson at Arapaho and Coit. The process is long and expensive but worth it in the end. Good luck!
Becky D. replied:
We did the same for my youngest, but it was Apple Ortho in east Richardson.
Rita B. replied:
North texas orthodontist Dr Nurco
Sarah P. replied:
Ann, I had to have oral surgery last Jan., and Dr. Pavelka was amazing. Right next door is Crosby Orthodontics, and that's where we've done Em's braces - we love them too, and they work pretty closely with the oral surgeons I've linked below. Good luck! http://richardsonoms.com
Amy T. replied:
I had this done about 20 years ago. Start with the orthodontist who will decide what to do with the baby teeth. Mine tried to move mine. I ended up with them removed with implants. The orthodontist will be able to coordinate everything. We love Dr. Harris off Lovers and Inwood he as done some work on C.
Teresa L. replied:
My kids use Dr. Shen. She is great. We found her through our dentist Dr. Kwon at Lucky kids dental in plano. Dr. Shen works out of Dr Kwons office. My daughter has braces and it works great when she needs something as bith the orthodontist and the dentist are right there.

My husband just had a wisdom tooth removed (it was super decayed). He saw Dr Nix at independence and spring creek in Plano. He seems to have done right by him since he was out in 20 minutes and has had no swelling or excessive pain post op.
