If you're really in need of a local salon, the staff at Great Clips on Pisgah Church Rd. in Greensboro have treated my son Michael (16) with sensitivity and great care for the past 14 years. Michael is on the severely affected end of the spectrum and has sensory issues. I hold his cheeks in the palms of my hands to lessen the wiggling. He doesn't understand why he should hold still... The staff work around my hands, and together we help Michael leave with a good haircut. If you decide to try them, I would call ahead to explain your family's needs, then speak briefly with the stylist chosen before your son gets in the chair. Best of luck!
