Jackie Osweiler Connelly - According to their website Fanick's Garden Center has fall tomatoes in stock - but to call to check the stock 210-648-1303. I suspect that at this date - it may be hard to find tomato plants here in Bexar county because they should have been transplanted several weeks back. I would also try calling the Hill Country African Violet Nursery on 10 - they are closer to Gillespe and may still have some. Their phone number is 830-249-2614.

Be sure to investigate Buffalo grass well, since it is very prone to weed infestation and it needs to be maintained high (4" or more depending on what variety you choose) and may hide doggy business! Another note on Buffalo grass, it CANNOT compete with Bermudagrass at all. Contact the Extension office (467-6575) for a copy of Turfgrass Comparison Chart. Make sure the grass you chose is traffic tolerant.
