Dr. Antonio Peña came to our rescue with our bulldog when he had orthopedic issues. He also fixed our Mastiff's broken leg after another well known Ensenada vet had treated it by casting the leg and telling us to go to our stateside vet for follow up. It was suggested that we go to Dr. Peña for a second opinion. X-rays showed that the first doctor did not repair the leg as he claimed and was paid for. Dr. Peña also helped with training issues we were experiencing. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Since posting I've spoken directly with the people who wish the referral. They are clear they want a veterinarian only in Mexicali and for teeth cleaning under general anesthesia. Their dog is very old and has a heart murmur. I gave them the contact info for Dr. Peña and suggested they ask him for a referral to a colleague in Mexicali.
