We have taken both of our girls to Hometown Pediatrics since they were born and absolutely love them!

Oh my gosh I hated boys and girls peds! They were horrible. I swapped mine to hometown pediatrics and they are really amazing. All the doctors are super friendly and caring. They will take the time to answer questions. They never seem rushed and always listen to my concerns. The man doctor, Roger, is my absolute favorite doctor there. He plays with my son and let me tell you my son was always terrified of the doctor till we saw Dr Roger. He makes the kids have fun. I can not praise hometown pediatrics enough.

Also Pigeon Forge elementary and Northview Primary have great special needs teachers and school nurses.

Sevierville Primary is Kindergarten thru 2 nd.Sevierville Intermediate is 3 rd-5 th.Both schools have Special Needs Classrooms also.

Trula Lawson school is behind Sevierville middle school. It's the special education/disabilities school. You can try there first, but most of Sevier County Schools are pretty accomodating to special needs.

So sorry to see that Kids Choice is not taking new patients. Dr Dave Mendez is the best. He was with Boys & Girls Pediatrics, we followed him when he started his own office. So I would recommend Boys & Girls. Good luck with whomever you choose.

Hometown Peds! My kids started going to the doctors there in 2006 when they were just hamblen peds and I see them at hometown peds or hamblen peds west (they have 3 offices with the same docs) dr Salansky is my fave. Dr. Powell is a close second.

My 9 month old goes to Newport Pediatrics. They have been really good since we've been going there. Haven't had a problem.

Dr. Trotter is a great dentist. I went there as a child. Dr.Wise is also a good choice for eye care.

Do NOT go to Boys and Girls pediatrics! They are terrible!!!

Dr Osborne in Maryville is an awesome pediatric dentist too. I would still actually use him but he quit taking our insurance

Dr.Toomey is a Great Dentist just changed to him for my kids.

I'm not sure about pediatric care but Walmart for vision and Dr. Morton is an awesome dentist. He is always willing to help you and his staff is awesome as well.

Stay away from Boys and Girls Pediatrics. Hollingsworth just says "beautiful baby" and ignores parental concerns. Often times ignoring sickness and baby ends up in the ER. (Not just my experience, many others as well) Plus you will spend anywhere from 2-4 hrs just for a well check because their office is so overloaded.

I absolutely love Boys & Girls Pediatrics.. Dr. Hollingsworth has ALWAYS been good to us, and I've never had any issues with waiting for appointments or anything. He doesn't sugar coat anything & he's very thorough. A little old fashioned, but still an amazing doctor!

If you dont mind the drive to seymour l suggest kids choice peds. We love Dr. Dave and his staff!

Hometown Pediatrics is awesome!

I highly recommend Dr. Bozeman office! My 2 year old started having a seizure as I pulled in for his appointment and their were at least 3 doctors helping immediately once I ran him in! They had the ambulance their within a few minutes and had us on our way to Children's. They also took care of my other 3 older kids until my husband could get them.

Hometown pediatrics is awesome. We love them. I don't want to badmouth anyone, but I would stay away from Boys and Girls Pediatrics.

Dr. Hollingsworth is my daughters doctor and I really like him.

We use Black and Benton Pediatrics off the Broadway exit in Knoxville. They are wonderful. 2 male doctors and 2 female doctors. Always able to fit me in even when they are booked. Always calls me back on 15 minutes or less after hours.

If Jeff city isn't too far, Jessica Albright is amazing. We switched from dr. Hollingsworth to her and are super happy with our decision!!

Hometown pediatrics. We see Dr. Toffeletto. He is the absolute best. We recently moved my daughter from boys and girls to hometown. It has been so much easier getting things done for her there.

Dr. Salansky at Hometown. You have to request to see her for your appointments so they know to look at her schedule. She's worth the wait though.

I love Dr Hollingsworth. Old school, doesnt give meds unless needed and just really nice to my son.

Sorry Kayla Zeits:( that SUCKS. Did you try Hometown Pediatrics? I can't speak from experience with them since I have only seen Hollingsworth, but I know a couple girls here said they've heard good things about them as well.

I take my son to Dr. Hollingsworth also. He is great and anytime I've needed immediate appointments I've had no trouble getting in to see him. His staff is great as well

They do tell me to be fifteen minutes early for appointments, but that's no biggie. We made my sons first appointment right from the hospital after he was born and got an immediate appointment for Saturday, the day after I was going to be sent home. Dr Hollingsworth is a Dr who actually cares and is soft spoken and old school. He takes the time to answer your questions and isn't trying to rush you out. He's always great with my 8 month old. I think you'd love him! Good luck

I don't know about pediatricians in the area, we go to Maryville for ours. There is a homeschooling group that is very involved with King Family Library, so maybe start there. But I don't have any details on that. I plan to homeschool when we reach that age. As far as playgrounds, we really like the Wear Farm Park/playgrounds. And they just rebuilt the one at the Sevierville City Park, but I'm not sure if it's open yet. There are a lot of great hiking trails and river spots in the mountains of that's more you're style Metcalf Bottoms, Cade's Cove, Grotto Falls, etc. And there's also Douglas Lake. Hope that helps!
