I've been happy with Central Cooling and Heating. Not sure about their expertise with your boiler, but they're very responsive.

Semi-recommendation: Pann Home Services. I use them for my (cheaper) gas boiler. They flagged the broken/breaking stuff on my unit and the other condos in 2008, fixed it at a reasonable price, and check up every 2 years. The stuff they flagged for my neighbors eventually broke for them, in less than 5 years. The problem: They are really, stunningly, awfully incompetent at billing. If you do fee for service, it's fine, they have a book and numbers and a billing specialist who works it out. If you do their discount maintenance program, then everything breaks and get weird and requires 3 phone calls and 2 checks.

Chuck Ingersoll: Thanks! What parts of the annual maintenance protocol do you find you need your plumber's help for? Do you run the combustion test sections? I guess my biggest challengers are 1) not having done it before, I'm not sure what's involved in the cleaning steps, and 2) if I break something, I don't have any heat. I'm sure I can pick up the kit at Met Pipe. Since I'm having ignition failures I'll want to do this before the new year, but I'd appreciate an intro to your plumber after anyway. Good to hear the WM is helpful; their website suggests that they won't talk to end customers. I think I need to do a cleaning before I call them about the ignition failures, though.
