Photographers in South Brisbane, Australia

Look at the potential possibilities in your own backyard - plants, flowers, trees, birds, even insects. Take a walk down your own street and look at it from different perspective - neighbour's gardens, pets, street signs, etc. I would estimate that around thirty percent of my images are captured in my surrounds.

Why not somewhere like Mt Gravatt lookout? Or the Mt Cootha Lookout? Maybe also somewhere around the Wynnum area?

Dusk at Kangaroo Point Cliffs seems to always get a few budding photographers.

Hey mate, Ormeau bloke myself. Depending on what kind of shots you want to get, head down the highway a little and get off at the Pimpama exit (think the Strawberry farm's still around there) and then keep going out towards Calypso Bay and Jacob's Well. Daisy Hill also has some nice spots, keep it in mind. Also, haven't really tried to grab any shots myself (but have often thought about it), if you head out towards the Bethania train station, cross the tracks and go near/past the pool, I reckon you could pick up a great Logan River sunset if you were keen. What about: * the red bridge on the freeway at Beenleigh? It looks great at night. * The Berrinba Wetlands?

The Ekka is an awesome photo op, animals, action in the centre stadium, street photos of people, fruit, rides, clowns, stay for the fireworks. http://www.flickr.com/groups/ekka/

Karawatha Forest, near Stretton and Woodridge. Has plenty of wildlife, mountains and picnic areas. If you're looking for more people to photograph, Wynnum Foreshore is great.
