We raise Rottweilers and mini Dachshunds. After using a couple vets in Sterling and not being satisfied, the only two that we use are Dr Walker in Ft Morgan and Dr Temple in Haxtun.

Dr. Cochran saved my lab when he was hit by a car. He had internal bleeding and a broken hip, I still have my big boy.

Dr Fredregill has always been great for all of our animals and saved my daughters dog who had a mysterious lump that turned out to be an abscess and she had severe infection. He does amazing work

Dr Walker at Fort Morgan Vet Clinic is awesome. Saved 2 of our dogs with parvo and kept in touch with us! Dr. Robinette is also good but can be hard to reach.

Don't go to any vet here. Make the drive to Ft. Morgan vet clinic. Well worth it. If you love your dog go there. If I would have listened to Cochran my wiener dog would have been put down. Took her to Ft. Morgan vet clinic and three years later she's fine. Just don't go here.

Dr. Federgill is very good.. I don't think he is expensive. I took all 4 of animals there. Twice I needed a vet in the middle of the night and he was the only one that called me back so I stayed with him for 12 years. At one time my lab was so sick I couldn't get her in the car and Dr. came to my house and treated her. Didn't charge me any extra either. And he does do payments, you just need to talk to him about it.

I have heard many horror stories from federgills office! Would never take a member of my family their even if it was life or death! Adam temple out of Haxtun is AMAZING!!! He has saved my dog from dying and worked with me on payments!!! (970) 774-3456 best dang vet I've ever seen!

Adam Temple. I have taken my dogs to him for an emergency and he is wonderful. Don't go to Doctor Cochran. That man has absolutely no regard for the feelings of the owners. I had a friend who's dog was very sick and he was absolutely horrible to her and her feelings. The man has absolutely no empathy for the owners.

You have every right to your opinion, Sarah, but I am speaking from first hand experience and from stories from people who have dealt with him. He may be a good vet technically but as a human being, he is below par. I have seen how he deals with animal "mommies and daddies" and he is cold and callus. Adam Temple is the ONLY vet worth taking your beloved animals to. I know of people who drive all the way from Fort Collins and Greeley just so Adam can see their "babies". So, if I am going to recommend a vet, it will Adam and NOT Dr. Cochran. Adam may be in Haxtun and a little farther to go but, in my humble opinion and the owner of 5 dogs and a cat, I think it is worth it.

Dr. Fredregill (sp) takes call but it will cost a lot. Try running to walmart, they have milk substitute for kittens and use a syringe. It might be worth a try and buy you some time.
