Re: theory test, ph misrad harishui to find out, re: the driving test - only your instructor can schedule that for u. Make sure misrad harishui know your story before u start the process (e.g. you had a license in the US but didn't convert in time here) because they might approve some "hakalot" (e.g. less lessons than are required of Israeli kids or a shorter "control" practical driving test despite the fact that u are also doing theory. Fantastic teacher that helped me get my license within a week despite not having driven for 15 years (I got permission to convert belatedly): Shai - 054 7555149 (tell him Adi Goldberg and Amber sent u).

David Partow, driving for 16 years does not mean you know how to drive in Israel. The laws here are different. The point of the lessons is to pass the test, not to learn to drive.

Simone there is a step by step guide here: http://www.nbn.org.il/aliyahpedia/government-services/drivers-license-cars/converting-foreign-drivers-license/ im pretty sure you need to pass by the 3 yr date or you'll have to do the process the israeli way from the beginning

Dror - very good. 054 200 9444. I passed first time after one lesson (conversion test). I was reffered to him by a friend and was very happy. Cost 500 including a lesson and the test (+68 at the post office for the test centre itself)
