After tons of small blockages a plumber told me to get an 'old fashioned' mop (the ones with the straggly ends) and have a bucket ready to put it in afterwards. Then you just use it similar to a PLUNGER. This has worked MANY times now after I'd already forked out a fair bit for plumbers...
