Dart Vale in Brixham and Paignton have been lovely to me. I'd always ask for a breakdown of fees in Preston though as there was a charge of over£100 for X-rays that I'd never had! Lovely vets and assistants though, especially in Brixham where they took the time to hand feed me grapes!

We've always used Seymour Vets in Totnes never had any issues over the last 20 years would recommend without hesitation, wouldn't touch dart vale through 3 very bad experiences with our then gun dogs 2 resulting in loss over a routine op !! And Seymour saving the 3 rd so I think you have to go with your gut instinct on this one good luck xx

...and Selworthy Vets at Kingsbridge failed to spot Pickel's symptoms were due to lungworm and were only giving her ordinary Dontral wormer each year... none of the vets I saw subsequently undertook the correct tests yet my vet bills cost me an arm and leg - self-regulation doesn't work!

Sadly could never trust Seymour vets again TJ, as they were the ones who caused the problem with Marni to start with. Although Matt was/is a lovely chap, I truly believed they stuffed up Marni's spaying/tumour op, and she'd still be here today if that hadn't happened, so could never go back there. But thank you for your time responding - it's just hard - you can only go by your personal experience, can't you!! Keep the suggestions coming please folks - a couple for Dart Vale. Anyone used Greenbay? They have a branch just down the road....... popping there this avo for Alfie's flea/worming treatment so thought I'd have a chat and suss them out. Anyone used them? If not, happy to travel to Dart Vale in future. Also - avocet or stronghold? Any preference? Or anything else? xxxx Thank you all xxxx
