Røst is really great. Located at the old theatre stage at Trøndelag Teater the place in itself is really unique. We went to Folk og Fe! It was lovely. They gave us super expensive wine from 2010 that they would have had to waste as the bottle was opened for tasting but had reached it's use by date, so a NOK6000 most-of-a-bottle cost us NOK226! Røst was our first choice, but it is not open on Sundays. Next time maybe! Thank you all for your answers. We will be sure to check out your recommendations when we can.

I also recommend Røst, To rom og kjøkken and Bula bistro. Credo is closed at the moment. Another good restaurant is Folk og fe.

Troll is great. Good atmosphere, no bullshit food, exciting menu. Frida too is amazing. Romantic and intimate, actual 100% authentic Mexican food. Fantastic wines too.

Check out Nordøst at Solsiden. Norwegian seafood, though most of the themes recipes are eastern inspired. Very tasty food and good atmosphere.

My first choice for fine dining has always been Credo, but I haven't been there since they changed locations. To rom og kjøkken is also very good. I also have it on good authority that Bula Bistro is good, but I haven't been there myself yet.
