Colin Potter please use someone like Quality Tree Service or Az Tree and Landscape Service so that they may properly dispose of the wood. I can not say from certain from the picture but, that is an Allepo pine that may have been killed by the engraver beetle which is killing many pines in town. At the same time it is spreading a deadly disease around town. If you keep this wood around you may only be helping this native insect spread this disease around the valley.
