Hey, does anyone know a good dentist/orthodontist? I'd like to look into braces. Thanks.

My Korean friend recommended Albeon Dental Clinic in Samsandong. I went there for a tooth cleaning and they were professional and did a good job. It is behind the Hyundai Department store, 2 blocks west 3 rd floor

New Dental clinic in Okdong is very good. They're English isn't the best but they are clean, fair and professional. I had lots of work done there over the course of 18 months.
Auré M. replied:
There is the LAIM Clinic in dong gu, 3F of a building next to homeplus. The dentist is very nice, and speak english. I just went there for the last month for a root canal. they are very efficient.
Marty M. replied:
Yeonsi Crystal in next to Home Plus in Dong Gu. The building that has the LQ U Plus on the first floor. The Dr speaks English but the others speak only a little. I had a root canal done there.
Fiona S. replied:
Oh dear, sorry Alicia Bumpus but I'm still clueless! lol I just tried to google the school and can't get a map. Perhaps if yourself or William Parker could provide me with a ph number I could get the FLiK girls here at the compound to get the location from the clinic:)
Greg O. replied:
I went to CK Dental for a cleaning and found the service to be good. But I was less than impressed with what the recommended I get-2.7 million won worth of capping and root canals. So be careful what they recommend. Before I left for Korea (1 year ago) my dentist in Canada gave me a clean bill of dental health. One year later CK Dental said I needed 2.7 million won worth of work. Get a second opinion.

My friend recommended Shim Gyu Bean Dental Clinic near Hyundai Department Store in Samsan-dong. She said the staff members were efficient and friendly, and she was very satisfied with their work.
Rob W. replied:
I recommend Saevit Dental in Daldong. I found them on Ulsanonline.com. They speak English fairly well and it is a nice, clean place. I knew I needed to have a root canal before I came to Korea and got mine done there for $32. My crown was about $300. Had 3 cavities filled and a scaling for $170. Cheaper than what I would pay as a state employee with great insurance back in CA. 052-275-2875
Where can I find an English-speaking dentist that offers a good teeth-cleaning for a decent price?
I also need my lower wisdom teeth pulled.
Jason T. replied:
Steve there is only one main branch in the shopping area of Samsan Dong. White dew is located above the 2 story Dunkin in the main shopping area just down the street from W bar http://local.daum.net/map/index.jsp?panoid=1022375578...

I had a fabulous experience with Eden Family dentists in Mugeo. The dentist spoke good enough English, and one of the hygienists speaks great English. Not sure of their number but they're on Ulsanonline.

Deirdre M. replied:
Dr. Lee in Shinae (Songnamdong) is good. She speaks English well. She's on the road leading from Shigaetap to the river, on the left (facing the river), just after the first covered street, on the 2 nd floor.

Please add these to the where to find page on UlsanOnline.com , thanks!

I got my wisdom tooth pull by delta dental in Samsandong. It is located across the street from the public parking lot and just down from the new cafe pascucci. The did a decent job and their office was state of the art. It was a little painful but according to them my root were "huge" thus more painful than average. They also use freezing as some people believe Korean dentists don't use the stuff.

I'm with Fiona Smith on this one, went for a consultation, given little info but decided to roll with it, booked in for treatment to be told there was 5 mill of work to be donr. After explaining i needed to stagger that cost and asking which treatment was the most urgent I was told "I'm not a mind reader". I reminded the little upstart she had my xrays in front of her, she then proceeded to tell me to sit down and she "will choose" at which point I bid my farewells and left. Now been home 2 years and no treatement has been required yet!!! I asked for a checkup not a cosmetic makeover!
Ok so i've been putting it off for a while now, but I really need to get my wisdom teeth out, two bottoms. Could anyone suggest a decent dentist with some level of...

The place that I went to was Delta Dental Clinic in Samsandong. It is close to that main intersection (cafe pascucci and the wa bar) that is just down from the Hyundai Department store. The guy spoke decent English and the clinic was clean and modern. I believe it cost me 70,000 won to get one of my wisdom teeth pulled. Their number is 052-228-2860http://local.daum.net/map/index.jsp?panoid=1017785355&pan=88.5&tilt=0.9&zoom=0&map_type=TYPE_SKYVIEW&map_hybrid=true&map_attribute=ROADVIEW&q=&urlX=1029940&urlY=574117&urlLevel=3

Can anyone recommend a good English speaking Dentist in the Dong Gu area?
Deirdre M. replied:
UlsanOnline.com - where to find - dentist. Or use the little spyglass I. The top right corner under the group photos, if you're on a computer, and type dentist - there should be plenty of recommendations there.

NHI covers one scaling per year and it was about 20,000 at CK Dental. It may cover a few extras as well.
Jason T. replied:
"some" doctors in Ulsan speak English and others may know the English terms for common ailments. A good example of this is my last visit to the hospital for my health check. 3 out 4 doctors did not speak English (that is fine, I speak Korean and my wife was there as well) and the 4 th doctor said "please remove your top part" to which I responded "my shirt?" To which I got a giggle and "yes" Yulia Horoshaya is right, most Doctors and Dentists here simple do what what they feel is needed without the explanation. You explain the situation and they do what needs to be done.
Does anybody have the contact number for an English speaking dentist?
William P. replied:
I would suggest the dentist I use in Okdong. I've been having alot of work done and every procedure has gone very smoothly and the staff are very patient. 052-266-2820 have a korean person call to schedule an appointment.
Jared I. replied:
Go to SamSan Dong. Above Dunkin Donuts there is a clinic called White Dew, I taught the dentist and she speaks English. Tell her Jared recommended you, who knows, you may get a discount.
Anyone know a dentist in Ulsan that will knock me out to take out my wisdom teeth? I had one taken out with local and I'm not sure I'm brave enough to get the rest taken...

Does anyone know of a good dentist who can speak English in either guyoungri or mugeodong? Thank you!
Lara A. replied:
I know of a dentist in Muegodong. He doesn't speak perfect English but they are friendly and they try the best they can. It's Dr. Lee's Clinic. It's directly across from Samho Jugung apt. https://m.map.naver.com/search2/search.nhn?query=%EC%9A%B8%EC%82%B0%EA%B4%91%EC%97%AD%EC%8B%9C%20%EB%82%A8%EA%B5%AC%20%EB%AC%B4%EA%B1%B0%EB%8F%99%201185-5&siteLocation=&queryRank=&type=ADDRESS And I think the dentist at the clinic across from Spa Valley Sauna (Guyeongri) speaks English as well.
Do I need to book an appointment for the dentist next to homeplus?

http://westladc.blogspot.com/2011/07/location-of-office.html this is the link to his website, one of the receptionists speaks a bit of english too so calling for an appointment should be ok but if in doubt get a korean to do it. but if the one jared mentions does gas it might be easier than making the trek to haundae.
