For minor issues, you can use https://medeo.ca/ as long as you have a computer or cell phone with webcam. Very convenient and you can request a female physician. I've used this service to see Dr. Dani Gordon and liked her quite a lot. Otherwise, for women's health issues, I second the Women's Health Clinic on Quadra. They're fantastic.

I go to Arbutus Midwives! They are so amazing. Unfortunately they're out in Langford, so might not be useful for you. I live downtown now too, but I'm still choosing to go out there to see them with this pregnancy. On that note, there are plenty of other awesome midwives downtown. I think I've heard the Midwives Collective on Fort? Are really good.

Congratulations!! We had Deanna Wildeman for both of our kids and she was great. I tried to look her up, but don't think she's practicing currently. My daughter decided to arrive on the Sunday of a long weekend and Deanna was out of town so her backup, [Michelle Buchmann](http://dandelionmidwifery.com/), delivered her. She was awesome, so funny, and just a great person to have in the delivery room. We were cracking jokes between pushes and she tolerated all of the f-bombs I was dropping.

We're with the Roundhouse Midwives. www.roundhousemidwives.com So far appointments have just been once a month (we're at 26 weeks). I don't really have an opinion on them good or bad, since this is our first kid and experience of the whole thing. All the appointments seem pretty straightforward and standard, I think they're doing everything they need to and are pleasant. We went with them after a couple of recommendations by friends. And the hobby farm that they're located on is really nice.
