We just use Midas on Silas Creek - it's usually pretty fast. Not every car needs the oil changed at 3000 miles (that's more of a recommendation from the people who change oil). Depending on the age of the car, most cars can go 5000 to even 10000 miles without an oil change. If you still have the manual, you might want to check it.
