Dr Williams at Sentara Family Medicine is great, also love Stephanie and Cindy there. Dr. Malloy left earlier this month for another practice in Leesburg. Will miss her greatly!
Jess M. replied:
Dale City Rec Center has been WONDERFUL with my son with developmental delays. There is a full time special ed teacher in there through Child Find, and she is really good with the kids (and parents).
Heidi R. replied:
I highly recommend Susan Messing at Williamsburg Square Family Practice in Lorton. She is a PA (2 other male doctors at the practice.) And I recommend Mrs. Gisela Land at St. Francis in Triangle. She helped me through a really rough time with my preschooler.
Amy S. replied:
Old Bridge Preschool is super for children with developmental delays!
Tori H. replied:
Dominion Family Health( I think it's called Sentara Health now)
Jessica K. replied:
We don't go there, but the preschool at The Animated Child has staff trained in developmental disabilities.
Ashley M. replied:
I second Susan Messing at Williamsburg Square Family Practice. It is in lorton, but it's pretty much right on the line!! I can't remember the name if the dentist we took my son to, but it was in the shopping center where Swim kids is and I likes it. He was 1 year old so he still hated it, but I like the facility and the dentist. They have TVs in the ceiling so the kids can watch while they get worked on.
Casey B. replied:
Stefanie Schutter at Dominion Family Health is amazing. and old bridge preschool is wonderful with special needs kids. They are inclusion, small ratios, and great teachers
Jolene G. replied:
Milan Patel at Dominion Family Health is very good.
Erin L. replied:
I third that. All of the ladies at Dominion Family Health are wonderful.
Casey B. replied:
Dr. Kozma from Georgetown is very good, but has very blunt bedside manner. She will help get you going down the right path with the right people, but she tells it like it is, and if you don't have thick skin, she can come across abrasive.
We have a mom with questions about preschools, and I have last year's "Readers Recommend" but some of the recommendations are 5 years old- so, I'm completely redoing...
