A lot of different issues drive the cost of a new HVAC installation: efficiency, variable speed equipment, ductwork corrections, permits, etc. Please make sure you compare proposals line by line. We had a gas pack put in about 3 years ago by Mitchell Heating and Cooling and it was around $4300. It was also a Trane 14 SEER, and the price was higher than normal because we got a smart thermostat and a whole house filter.
