It takes FOREVER to get into Dr. Bechtel. Dr. Herron at Northeast Deam worked under Dr. Bechtel I believe.

We see Dr. McElvey at NE dermatology - he sees kids and it only took us a few weeks (not months) to get in to see him.

Dr. Bechtel used to have a practice at Mt. Carmel, it has to be the same person. He is a very good dermotologist. I see one of his former associates, Dr. Kelley Zyniewicz, she's in Westerville. (I may have spelled her last name wrong, sorry.) I lo ve her, but it does take a while to get an appointment. I'm surprised your pediatrician doesn't at least have an idea of what it could be. I have a friend that goes to Northeast Derm and they like the doctors there. It's convenient, right on Hamilton just north of Johnstown Rd.

I'm glad to hear, Christine that Dr. Z got you in quickly. I cannot tell you how many times she has come through for my family. I usually don't need an urgent appointment for myself, but several times, my daughter, home on leave, did. Dr. Z went abo ve and beyond to accomodate my daughter. I have been seeing her since the early 90"s, so it's a long time association. She is so loving and caring and listens. Funny, too, her husband is an urgent care physician and he helped me out when my sister was visiting from out of town.

Anyone at Affiliated Dermatology (Dublin), or Dr. Massick at OSU Dermatology (Gahanna). AD will probably get you in faster, but Dr. Massick is closer. I worked at both places. smile emoticon

I had the same trouble, getting in to a dermatologist. But when I called Westerville Dermatology they got me in the next day!! I think there was a cancellation, but still I appreciated not waiting for 2 months!

Julie, I've seen Kelley Z for almost 20 yrs, and she does a full body scan on me every 6 months...I've had a TON of areas removed and biopsied (and go again on Friday for another biopsy)...she has found stuff that others never did! When I worked, we referred all of our patients to her.

That's dumb....what Dr can't diagnose an issue or take skin samples and study his patient. That's what's wrong with Drs today they have no Passion for what they do they are just there for the money. Try abbi searfoss she's a new Dr at wyandot see if she can do skin, she was a grade under me. Or Dr Harris she gave me great acne meds because I was in a lot of pain on my face too
