My girls have been going to fox valley ophthalmology since they were 3. Dr. Pica. She is awesome. They are over by the old Walmart off royal.

We see Dr Kemperas in South Elgin. I was just there last week and I asked about bringing Joe in(I haven't gotten his exam yet either). He sees kids all the time, plus he has 3 of his own.

Ophthalmology Associates by Sherman is good too. Dr. Ware is a good OD for general eye check-ups. Dr. Ackermann is not only good for routine eye check-ups, but she is also a darn good surgeon. I have been going there for years. Dr. Ackermann did my cataract surgery last January.
