The keyfob is easy to reprogram, just look up the code for you car it will be some combination of turning the key and opening/closing the doors. If the car has an immobilizer that is normally a lot more difficult to reprogram and normally has to be done at a dealer or authorized service center. You can program the fob yourself and get someone to cut the key cheaply to save some money but you will still have to spend big bucks on the immobilizer.
