Anyone who is anyone goes to Monroe Vision Clinic. Any of the doctors are truly amazing! Very thorough, but do not take advantage.

Locally, Dr. Kyle Gill in Monroe Plaza- 360-794-9055. Very friendly and gentle! For a little further out, check out the LWTech Dental Clinic! I'm in the dental hygiene program at Lake Washington Institute of Technology in Kirkland; if you're willing to make the drive, we are still looking for patients and while a comprehensive exam, X-rays, and cleaning take much longer than they would at a private practice, the costs are so much cheaper and you're getting the most thorough cleaning ever! For more info, see http://www.lwtech.edu/community/dental_clinic/default.aspx

Cheryl S. replied:
I have been to Monroe Vision Clinic for many emergency visits due to an ongoing eye problem. I have seen (ok they saw me cause I couldn't see at the time!) all of the Dr.s and they were very compassionate and helpful. I finally went in and my daughter (5 or 6 yrs at the time) and I got a regular exam. They were wonderful with my daughter who was quite nervous. I was happy with both my planned and unplanned visits there. http://monroevisionclinic.pecaa-sites.com/

I have been seeing Dr Courtney since he started practice in Monroe over 30 years ago! He has always been wonderful. I had shingles on my forehead and he watched my eye very closely for weeks to make sure the infection didn't spread to my eye. It didn't. Very good care at Monroe Vision whoever you decide to see. There opticians are great too. Any problem with the glasses and they are there to fix them in a jiffy. And it's 5 minutes from home!!
Any suggestions on a eye doctor? Could be local or even Costco

Another fan of Children's Eye Care in Kirkland - Dr. Epley. We used to go to Dr. Lenart in Redmond and liked him as well but the drive was an extra 1 hour round trip. A friend recommended Dr. Epley and couldn't be happier.

We can't get into Children's Eye Care until March:(

I recommend Childrens Eye Care in Kirkland. It's about a 15 minute drive and they are amazing. I took Mady to see my eye doctor, in town, and even though they did the best that they could Mady was scared once they started. Childrens has none of o the more scary stuff, like the puffs in the eyes and other thing. Heck the where amazng with Kyle and he is a challenging child on a good day.
Julie D. replied:
Not in Monroe, but Alderwood Vision Therapy is a really good pediatric opthamologist too! Out near the Walmart on 164 th. Lynwood. They diagnosed Aaron when he was young.
Eye doctor recommendations? Right now I need an exam/contacts/glasses. But eventually my husband and child will also need something... So a family friendly place please!
