With Spring just around the corner, sometimes it's enough to learn how to eat right and just go outside. There are benefits to joining a gym [some big], but you don't need to "work out" to get back into shape. Just eat right and stay active [which some people use a gym to do]. I'd suggest you find someone to talk to [a personal trainer, or nutritionist who specializes in weight loss and healthy lifestyle], and then find a gym that is best suited for you. I go to the Movement, and I LOVE it there, but unfortunately the trainers there aren't currently accepting personal training [so busy!!]. I've heard good things about Karley Green though [mentioned above as well]! And if you want a boot camp style trainer, Trainer Kim is where it's at.

Have you considered The Aquatic Centre? There is everything from the gym to easy to advanced aquafit classes . Lots of moms go there and lots of people of all ages, sizes, and abilities ! You may meet others you can workout with! I used to run on the treadmill exclusively but my joints can't handle it anymore so I taught myself to swim laps! It's easy on the body and burns a lot of calories but it does not feel like a hard workout ! I can't believe how much it has helped me physically and mentally !
